Table Mountain is a sandstone plateau rising up above the Cape Flats. The top is approximately 3km wide, and at its highest point, Maclears Beacon, rises to 1085m.

Complimenting this vast array of flora is a stunning range of fauna, some, like the Table Mountain Ghost Frog, being found in no other place in the world.

The Cableway does not take bookings due to the fact that the operation of the cable cars is weather dependent!

+ If you do not have your own transport, busses and taxies are available to transport you from the city to the cableway.

+ The Camps Bay bus will drop you off at Kloof Nek

+ They depart from Adderley Street outside the Golden Acre.

+ It is a 1 1/2 km walk uphill from Kloof Nek to the Lower Cable Station.

+ Minibus taxi’s also depart from outside the Golden Acre on Adderly Street.

+ Alternatively you could phone for a Riki taxi on 423 4888. They will collect you from anywhere in the city and transport you to the cableway.

The Restaurant

What better way to greet the day than with a full breakfast and champagne toast to the 12 Apostles. The self-service restuarant offers a wide range of foods from our hot and cold buffets, complemented by a selection of fine local wines. Seats 100 people. Please follow the signs once you're on top.

Bistro

Watch the sun set over Camps Bay and the twinkling lights of the Mother City. Sit and linger over one of our special cocktails while looking out over the bay and Robben Island. Up to 80 people can be accommodated for cocktail parties. The bistro is situated inside the top station building.

Summit Boardroom

A most exclusive venue. Host your VIP meeting in the highest boardroom in Cape Town. A place where a select few can enjoy a private meeting and lunch at the very top of Table Mountain, with private balconies opening up on to breathtaking views. The Summit Boardroom has superb views over the city, the Twelve Apostles, Camps Bay and the Cape Peninsula. The Summit Boardroom seats 18 delegates and can accommodate 30 guests cocktail style. It is an ideal venue for small think tank meetings, staff training or for entertaining VIP guests.
