Situated high above Durban North on Umhlanga Rocks Drive, Endless Horizons has a contemporary Zen feel, with peaked roof structures, wide rock-clad columns, timber detail and double-volume spaces. Water plays an integral role in the design. Long twin ponds with stainless steel water features flank the impressive entrance and immediately visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the public areas of the hotel, the sparkling infinity pool appears to flow directly into the Indian Ocean on the horizon.

The décor is understated, fresh and appealing - with antique Chinese, Thai and Indonesian artworks and furnishings interspersed with modern-day custom-made pieces. This creates a light and airy feel in the public spaces and is a refreshingly new approach. Fabrics reflect a citrus-coloured palette contrasted with ocean-toned blues, greens and turquoise, linked with neutral shades against dark timber contemporary furniture. Artworks range from intricately-crafted ancient wooden screens to giant block-mounted photographs of organic elements.

The dining room is served by four cordon-bleu-trained chefs who have devised a frequently-changing menu to ensure that dishes are freshly made with seasonal ingredients.

Access to the upper level is via a floating timber and brushed stainless steel staircase and this floor boasts ten luxurious double/twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Here, décor is more elaborate with rich fabrics and vibrant colours. Business travellers, in particular, are well catered for with desks complete with comfortable ergonomically-designed chairs. And at the touch of a discreet keypad in each bedroom, GUESTS can access the music of their choice or the latest stocks and share prices. Or, if they want to enjoy the outdoors and the wonderful view, they can carry their laptops down to the pool area, where computer links are available.

CHILDRENS POLICY
• Subject to availability of suitable accommodation and maximum 2 children sharing a bedroom with 2 adults – where bedrooms cannot accommodate children sharing with adults, 2 rooms need to be booked in which case the single rate would apply to each room
• Kids over 12yrs, are considered adults
• Children – we do not allow children younger than 12 years of age.
