Built in 1995, the recently refurbished conference centre is a premier facility in the Winelands. The flexibility of the facilities makes them equally suitable for workshops, launches, seminars, fashion shows, presentations, exhibitions or specialist auctions. Broadband and wireless packages are available.

The facility, which includes a barrel maturation cellar, was built on 5 000 square metres. The cellar has a capacity of 2 000 tons for red grapes and 800 tons for white grapes. There are 40 red wine fermentation tanks varying in size from 5 to 40 tons. Each tank is equipped with a cooling and heating system, a unique feature in the South African wine industry. The Spier cellar also has a cold stabilization capacity for 100 000 litres.
The barrel maturation cellar can hold up to 4 500 barrels. The barrel cellar consists of four barrels rooms that can be separately temperature controlled.

The entire winemaking process at the Spier cellar is focused on achieving quality through skilful technological innovation. All winemaking and operational procedures are in line with ISO 9001.
